Romans 9:1-29

Today, I am going to leave it up to more expert hands to discuss the details of this chapter.

Take some time to read Matthew Henry’s Commentary on this chapter as I think it is helpful to understand what Paul and writing here and why.

What I will say today is that it is clear that Paul is hurting in the fact that many during that time did not believe his message of Christ or did not know about Jesus at all (9:2).

Now, almost 2000 years later, we are still hurting as there are people that still don’t know or reject Jesus as Lord.

Have you seen the videos where a man goes up to random people in a store and offers them money if they can quote one Bible verse? It pains me how many either ignore, say they don’t know one, or say they have never even picked up a Bible. Whenever I watch these come across my social media, I just want to cry. How is it that so many people still don’t know the Word? Or, have never heard even one verse of this amazing book?

This is why I am doing this daily blog. I want to use my words and do what I can to spread God’s message. This is about spreading God’s Word (not mine). It is about guiding others to read the Bible and helping them to understand a little bit of what it is talking about. BUT then encouraging them to listen to what God is telling them through their word.

Please help me by spreading this website to others. Or start your own way of sharing the message God is giving you. Share with your family or friends what you are reading and what it said to you. Let’s fill our feeds with God’s words.

I pray today that God’s word will spread and we will see a revival. We will see more and more people come to know Jesus. That more people everyday will know the love of God and be saved from the sin that rules their lives.
