As Jesus knew it was getting closer and closer to his time on earth ending, He continued to pour out as much knowledge to the disciples as He could.

As they leave the temple, Jesus sits with Peter, James, John, and Andrew on the Mount of Olives. As they continue asking questions about what will happen and when, Jesus tells them there will be signs. Nations will fight other nations, earthquakes, and wars were all signs that Jesus told them.

Jesus also talked about the tribulation and what would happen after. He said that even He doesn’t know when that time will come, but to stay awake as there will be signs.

In this chapter alone, Jesus tells the disciples (and us) six times to be on guard and stay awake. Jesus knows that people will try to manipulate His teachings and that false prophets will be everywhere. This is why it is SO important that we read and study God’ Word.

As I feel we are drawing closer and closer to the tribulation, we are seeing more and more of God’s Word twisted. Christians are falling away. Darkness and evil are growing.

I pray that you will heed Jesus’ words. Be alert and ready. We do not know the day or the hour that Jesus will return and judgment will come. But we can’t be caught asleep.
